JOB TITLE (#1605) : Psychologist - Bronx, NY
Board Certified
Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a Psychologist to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in Bronx, New York.
Requirements of the Psychologist :
Must be a Graduate of an accredited Doctoral Degree in Psychology program (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
Must be Board Certified
Must have active NY license
Preferably has at least 1 year of experience working in a previous mental health setting, outpatient clinic, or hospital.

Responsibilities of the Psychologist :
Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
Demonstrates knowledge of criteria to identify victims of abuse and neglect.
Performs age-specific health assessment
Demonstrates communication skills appropriate to the population served
Performs psychodiagnostic assessment according to the DSM IV-TR
Provides culturally competent clinical psychosocial interventions, including crisis management.
Interprets the nature of illness and prescribes the course of treatment to patients / families and communicates family issues to other providers involved in the case.
Conducts individual treatment according to established standards / practice guidelines
Collaborates with other Urban Health programs and community agencies to promote coordination and continuity of patient and family care
Maintains up-to-date and complete records of patient information according to established standards.
Develop specialized programs that are clinically relevant to the age population served.
Adheres to the department's practice guidelines and maintains current knowledge of professional practice standards.
Abides by all New York state regulations and professional (APA) ethical and code of conduct standards.
