What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Estimator position at Impact Solutions Inc?
Established more than 20 years ago, our client, located on the Nassau/Suffolk County border, (RT 110 Corridor) is a full-service environmental and construction firm. They are currently looking for a Chief Estimator. This position is hybrid.
MUST LIVE WITHIN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE OFFICE. The is a Chief Estimator Role - reporting to ownership
Experience in the PUMP & TANK INDUSTRY DESIRED
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages the estimating team, all its functions, and is responsible for the overall performance of the department. The estimating team focuses on environmental and fuel facility focused projects and services.
- Accountable to manage, motivate, and train the estimating team and must ensure that all estimates are submitted accurately, consistently, and timely for the Construction and Service Business Units.
- Prepare a portion of the construction and service estimates.
Main Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of estimating experience in the construction, environmental, or similar industry
- Must be detail-oriented while also having the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to manage and generate project estimates for projects ranging from $25,000 up to $5,000,000.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of excel
- Knowledge of Cost Estimating Software is preferred
- Ability to read plans and other project documents
