We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Clinical Coordinator/Entry Level Assistant Professor in Surgical Technology to join our esteemed team in Tucson. This pivotal role requires a blend of clinical expertise and academic prowess to foster the next generation of surgical technologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate clinical placements for students, ensuring a comprehensive and diverse clinical experience.
- Collaborate with clinical sites to maintain strong partnerships and enhance student learning opportunities.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in surgical technology courses, utilizing innovative teaching strategies and technologies.
- Develop and update curriculum to reflect current practices and advancements in surgical technology.
- Mentor and advise students, fostering their academic and professional growth.
- Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation processes, and ongoing program evaluations.
Requirements:
- No teaching experience required
- Externships and preceptorships are preferred
- Outgoing “go getter” - Position is in the field in front of students. Clinical coordinators speak to students on sites for educational opportunities
- Teaches clinical Class of about 10 students per assistant professor in the lab
- Surgical First assist experience/certification preferred
- No On-call
- Hours – full-time (flexibility is required)
