Position: CNC Field Service Technician
Shift: 1st Hours:7:30am -5:00pm Type: Full-Tme
Our client is looking for a responsible Field Service Technician. This is a Direct Placement position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will need 2-5 years of related service technician experience.
- Advanced ability to read an electrical schematic including both high voltage (220-440v), low voltage (12v-24v), and combined systems. Be able to combine understanding of electricity along with the use of a schematic and multimeter for troubleshooting.
- Advanced understanding and use of a multimeter for testing voltage, current, and resistance.
- Knowledge of PLCs and how they work together with a power supply, inputs and output, various switches, and an HMI.
- Knowledge of servo drives and motion control.
- Understand how to read a pneumatic schematic.
- Have achieved the level of advanced mechanic, understand the proper use of all common hand and power tools, an be able to display advanced ability to disassemble and re-assemble complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Ability and aptitude to learn the basics of a CNC lathe control (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc.) and lathe programming as it applies to magazine bar feeding and CNC lathe part processing.
- Ability to professionally interface with key customer (end user and OEM-dealer) contacts prior to, during, and after the bar feeder installation and training.
- Travel: 50-75% overnight travel
