Jr. Pre-Construction Manager

TITLE:

Junior Pre-Construction Manager (3-5yrs)

LOCATION: 

Kansas City, MO - Ideal candidates within 60 miles of office. Open to Wichita or Omaha (2-3 hrs out) but they will be required to come into office each day. Open to relocation candidates. Relocation assistance available. 

May work partially remote while relocating, but this is a client facing position and in-office is required long-term. 

MUST HAVES:

• Minimum of (3-5) years of combined operations and estimating experience with a focus on the pre construction phase. 

• Commercial General Contractor background is a must. 

• Strong Conceptual Estimation XP.

• Previous project list or portfolio listing the budgets for each project is REQUIRED for submission.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or and equivalent combination of education and construction experience 

• Valid driver’s license is required 

• Proficiency in navigating project scheduling software and Microsoft Office suite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

• Maintains composure and professionalism in difficult situations and effectively resolves conflicts. 

• Excellent communication skills, both in writing and face-to-face 

• Able to develop strategies for improvement and develop supporting procedures to implement necessary changes 

• Exceptional ability to think operationally and identify the multiple teams, processes and deliverables that are required to execute a successful project 

• Embraces technology and is able to use it in ways that improve the client and team experience 

COMPENSATION:

$75k-$80k DOE. Extensive benefits and bonuses

Anything beyond $80k would require 5 years commercial general contractor pre-con experience. 

SCHEDULE:

Full time - project based usually balances out to 40 hrs a week but may have 30 hrs one week and 48 the next. Pretty standard ebb and flow for anyone in this position. 

Job Description:

The Preconstruction Manager is a key position for Projects in the cost estimating phase and acts as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and architects during the preconstruction phase. This position will assist in developing  project pricing, determine project schedules and manage the solicitation, procurement and  negotiation of new business.

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
