COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY)

Our client, a prestigious law firm recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms®, is seeking a highly-motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Wilmington. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney to handle a diverse caseload, including professional liability defense, healthcare litigation, and mass torts.
Candidate Profile:

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

Active Bar Admission in Delaware.

2 years of substantive experience in general commercial litigation, professional liability litigation (especially healthcare, E&O/D&O, specialty care and senior living litigation), human trafficking and sexual abuse litigation, mass torts and class action.

Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills, with the ability to draft persuasive pleadings and motions.

Highly motivated, with the initiative to take on significant case responsibility.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:

Defend licensed professionals and institutions, including:

Nursing homes, treatment centers, and skilled care facilities

Insurance agents, brokers, lawyers, architects, and engineers

Professional sports teams and hospitality industry clients

Draft and argue motions, attend depositions, and participate in trial preparation.

Manage discovery, including document production and review.

Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and client counseling.
