New Construction Estimating Project Manager

Position Summary

This person will be the Lead/Senior PM for all ground-up new commercial construction projects in the Nashville area.

This PM Manages all operations including the client relationship, project related staff and all subcontractors/vendors for each (renovation and/or ground-up) construction project under their responsibility. The PM will also Identify Potential Projects, Estimate & Bid those for Awarded Contracts on those new projects Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities of their designated projects to ensure that all goals / objectives of each new project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters. Typically the PM manages 3-4 projects at a given time with values ranging from $2M to $10M.

Key Accountabilities 

• Reviews or assists in reviewing project proposal or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project and available resources to generate estimates & bid.
• Work with management & staff to negotiate contract changes
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures as well as contract plans and specifications
• Coordinate or assist with coordination of project activities with Company personnel
• Reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required for review
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
• Responsible for and assisting with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation or the project: including safety, resources, performance, budget, scheduling, equipment management, quality, and risk analysis
• Manages the process to ensure that documented commitments made in the developmental phases of a project are implemented at the proper time
• Reviews and approves vendor pay estimates, material requests and invoices
• Draft, review and approve works and purchase orders
• Attends project status meetings and assists in problem solving efforts
• Work with and be part of the estimating/bid process during project procurement phases
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.

• Salary Range $120-130k / year ( DOE )

Education/Experience:

• Construction Management (Bachelor’s) degree or similar required.
• 5 years of Estimating & project management experience in the commercial construction industry
• The selected candidate will also have a clean/valid drivers license, drug screen and background check to be eligible for this opportunity.

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
