QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a focus on mechanical or electrical disciplines in custom machinery.
- Proven track record in overseeing manufacturing operations and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
- Demonstrated success in leading operational transformations within a company.
- Proficiency in capacity planning and forecasting staffing needs.
- Preferably, experience working for a multinational corporation, managing external supply chains, engineering functions, and assembly processes.
- Skilled in implementing and managing ERP systems, including training and ensuring accountability.
- Extensive background in supervising mechanical and electrical engineering departments, procurement, and production assembly in dynamic work environments.
- Experience with full profit and loss responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversees and leads mechanical and software engineering, procurement, inventory management, production, and service operations.
- Develops and standardizes operating procedures across all departments to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Manages recruitment, staffing, and training initiatives to align with business goals and optimize workforce resources.
- Formulates and executes make-or-buy strategies for operational functions.
- Assumes total responsibility for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
- Create appropriate KPI’s, deliverable to direct reports and control performance.
- Ensures accurate and achievable customer delivery dates through effective coordination with the sales and service team.
- Support engineering in technical applications for new and existing R&D efforts.
- Establishes clear priorities and maintains open communication channels with all departments.
- Cultivates a cohesive team culture, combining strong leadership with talent development strategies.
- Emphasizes training, mentorship, and succession planning for direct reports and team members with a hands-on approach.
- Directly reports to the President/CEO for operational oversight, performs additional duties as directed by the President/CEO. Also reports to the group COO in Germany.
