What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Impact Solutions Inc?
This position will work closely with the Regional Accounting Manager to lead the company’s financial reporting and technical accounting functions to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, coordinating the monthly closing process, preparing financial statements, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are complete and validated. Specifically:
• Journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, cost allocations and disbursements.
• Provide system administrative support for the journal entry and account reconciliation accounting systems.
• Maintain the integrity of the Sage system.
• Coordinate the period closing processes and perform period end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analysis
• Assist in the annual independent financial audits of the company.
o preparation of necessary schedules
o assisting with coordinating with the independent auditors
o facilitating the collection of all schedules throughout the company including those utilized for the footnotes in the consolidated financial statements.
• Complete various year-end audit analyses, schedules, financial statement footnotes and ad-hoc information used to create the Company’s audited financial statements and annual report.
• Ensure the company is in compliance with internal control procedures.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of, and compliance with, business and accounting processes and procedures related to new accounting principles.
• Work closely with parent company corporate accounting, tax, treasury and other corporate departments.
Requirements: A BS/BA (Accounting or Accounting Concentration) plus a minimum of 5 years of experience is required. Additionally
• CPA or CMA is preferred.
• Team oriented with solid communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively.
• Strong PC skills with proficiency in Excel.
• Sage 100 experience is strongly preferred.
• Assist the finance team with forecast preparations and financial analysis
• Some travel is required.
Salary : $84,000 - $100,000
