We are Recruiting on Purpose a Senior Mechanical Engineer - to handle Forensic Investigation Projects in the NY/ NYC / NJ area.
Our Client is a leader in forensic engineering Market.
This Senior Forensic Mechanical Engineer will support clients in both NJ and NY. Working remotely from his/her home office, our expert may investigate and evaluate the root cause and extent of failures and damage to HVAC and MEP systems, building management systems (BMS), building automation systems (BAS), fire protection and fire alarm systems, and will assess various other types of mechanical failures.
QUALFICATIONS:
- Active P.E. licensure in NJ and/or NY or you must be eligible for licensure by reciprocity. Multiple licensures are preferred.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including working in industrial settings.
- The ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as needed by motor vehicle or by plane.
- Must be able to work independently and with a cross-functional team of experts.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills are required.
- The ability to provide the utmost in customer service to our clients is a must.
- Technical proficiency with computers, phones, cameras, etc. and with industry-related software applications is necessary.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or any restrictions
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. A M.S. Degree is Mechanical Engineering is Big Plus.
- 10 years of on-the-job experience designing / working with mechanical equipment and systems in a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial settings, including HVAC and MEP systems.
- 5 years forensic investigative experience is required.
- Expert witness experience, both deposition and trial, is a strong plus.
- CFI (IAAI) and/or CFEI (NAFI) certification(s) is a Plus!
