Impact Support Services Day Services in Centralia is a fun, caring place to work! If you have a heart for helping others, our Day Services is for you! The work Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:00 with a paid lunchtime sharing your lunchtime with some time with some fantastic coworkers and individuals who will enjoy sharing their lunch time with you!
Job Summary: The Direct Support Professional works directly with individuals, in ratios between one and six to provide support needed for individuals to participate in selected activities and progress on individual goals. Services are varied and may occur in a variety of settings. The DSP works as a member of a team and reports to a Program Supervisor.
Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Excellent communication, written, and organization skills.
- Ability to teach/mentor others.
- Ability to use computer programs such as Therap, Station MD, and Paycom.
- Ability to assist in the training of new staff.
Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
Weight Lifting (or other physical) Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to bend, stoop, or perform other physical duties as Community Living functions require.
- Ability to sit for significant periods of time.
- Ability to stand or walk at a quick pace for several hours at a time.
Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:
- Class E Missouri Drivers License required within 14 days of hire and proof of current car insurance maintained in your own name.
- Successful completion of a criminal history background check and driving record review.
