Preschool Director
IMPACT Preschool is an early childhood center located in Tallahassee, Florida. We are committed to the development of independence and inclusiveness across a child’s lifespan through family support and unity. We provide therapy, childcare, and private school services. We are seeking to hire a Preschool Director for our growing childcare facility serving children 6 weeks through 5 years old. Our center specializes in offering an inclusive program for children with and without special needs wherein each child has the potential to learn and grow in a nurturing and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all childcare operations and the development of programming.
- Training and supporting staff
- Coordinating with parents to schedule special events and parent-teacher conferences.
- Helping develop and maintain professionalism in staff through increased knowledge through conferences, trainings, and online courses
- Maintaining the staff schedule
- Ensuring all regulations are followed
- Managing student records
- Work to increase enrollment while managing the quality of care each child receives.
- Planning and leading staff meetings
- Collaborating and communicating with team of directors (various entities)
- Creating and enforcing policies for all staff and families.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field – Early Childhood, Education, Educational Leadership, Special Needs, Therapy, etc.
- Skills in Leadership, Communication, Administration and Planning
- The ideal candidate must have 2 years experience as a child care director or assistant director with their Director's Credential for Child Care.
- Able to perform Moderate/Medium Lifting and Carrying along with other physical duties.
- Attentive to details
- Service oriented
- Good at planning and organizing
- Empathetic and sociable
- Highly diplomatic
- Skilled in identifying problems and brainstorming potential solutions
- Excellent at written and oral communication, and presentation
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Passionate about connecting with teachers and students
- Experience with children with special needs preferred.
Salary will be based upon experience.
