A competency-based online school is looking to add an Enterprise Architect. This key position offers the opportunity to help drive innovation and lead the architecture for scalable, resilient cloud solutions at a mission-driven organization.
What You’ll Do:
As the Senior Enterprise Architect, you’ll leverage your expertise in AWS, Istio, containerization, and microservices to shape the future of cloud-native architecture. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cloud Architecture & AWS Expertise: Design and implement scalable architectures using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API gateway, and more.
- Istio & Service Mesh: Lead the integration and optimization of Istio service mesh architectures for microservices in Kubernetes environments.
- Containerization & Kubernetes: Architect resilient containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring optimal performance.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce industry standards for data privacy, security, and operational resilience in cloud environments.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers on cloud-native best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Expertise in AWS: Proven experience in AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
- Service Mesh & Istio: Deep knowledge of Istio and managing service mesh architectures.
- Containerization: Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead initiatives and collaborate across teams, driving modern architecture and system transformation.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Istio, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, security, and compliance.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with service mesh tools like Linkerd or Consul.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) and observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
This role is starting out as a contract position with potential to extend and covert.
Salary : $80 - $100
