Warehouse Manager

IMPACT TRANSPORTATION is a leading logistics provider in the Port of Oakland that specializes in warehousing and transportation. We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse staff, budgets and operations of the local business. Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development:

• Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities, ensuring maximum productivity.
• Plan weekly and daily operations to handle customer orders efficiently and assign tasks to staff.
• Delegate tasks effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and employee development.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to staff, and handle disciplinary actions as needed.

Operations Management:

• Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent handling of goods.
• Maintain accurate records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.
• Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse productivity to upper management.
• Identify areas of improvement and establish or adjust existing work procedures and practices to enhance efficiency.
• Hold regular team meetings to discuss progress, share updates, and brainstorm improvements.

Inventory Management:

• Organize inventory and warehouse floor and yard space efficiently.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, disposal, transferring, cleaning, and inventory repair.
• Assist in loading and unloading inventory as needed to meet customer service requirements.

Safety and Compliance:

• Perform daily inspections of the warehouse grounds to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement appropriate safety guidelines.
• Investigate injuries or unsafe conditions and take corrective actions as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Communicate and coordinate activities with other departments and customers to support business operations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management to support business operations.

Requirements

• Port of Oakland Experience
• 5 years of related experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
• Proven experience in Warehouse and Trucking Industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
