We are seeking a Business Development Director to join our team and expand our staffing presence in the South Atlanta territory. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the market, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and enhancing the overall sales performance of an organization.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional customer service skills, be analytical and detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, and be able to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the President & CEO, the role will design, implement, and support sales strategies, plans and procedures
  • Participate in expansion of business activities by identifying new market opportunities and developing plans to penetrate those markets
  • Ensure strategic objectives are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors
  • Build strong relationships with key external stakeholders
  • Directs and manages sales activities
  • Hires, manages, develops and mentors sales Directors, Managers, and Representatives
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track sales performance
  • Assists with complex sales negotiations, attends sales presentations and helps close deals
  • Directly manages very large, high-profile customer accounts, as appropriate
  • Helps develop sales proposals and responses to request for proposals (RFPs)
  • Work in conjunction with CCO on deal structure, proposals, and pricing quotes
  • Develops, documents and enforces sales policies, standard operating procedures (SOP) and best practices, and also streamlines sales processes
  • Serve on external committees where appropriate to expand the company footprint and business activities/opportunities
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience preferred
  • 7 - 10 years sales experience within the staffing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Results driven, with a proven track record of successful sales performance and management
  • Strong decision-making capabilities
  • Must possess outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven expertise in selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning and execution, and employee motivation techniques
  • Must have the ability to travel as needed to meet with prospects, clients and attend industry events
