What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clamp operator position at Impact Workforce Solutions?
This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
1st Shift : 6am 2pm Monday - Friday Key Responsibilities : Material Handling : Operate roll clamp forklifts to move, stack, and store rolls of material in designated areas.
Loading / Unloading : Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads.
Inventory Management : Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials handled. Safety Compliance : Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Equipment Maintenance : Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on roll clamp equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of materials.
Independent Work : Demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing tasks effectively while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Documentation : Complete necessary documentation for material transfers and deliveries as required. Other Duties : Perform other job duties assigned by the supervisor to support overall operations.
Qualifications : Experience : Previous experience operating roll clamp forklifts in warehouse. Certification : Valid forklift operator certification is required.
Skills : Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and good communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements : Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Work Environment : Conditions : The role involves working in a warehouse with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
