Impawsible Pups is a small, family-oriented dog care facility. At Impawsible Pups, it is our job to ensure your pet stays happy and healthy. From making sure your dog is in the right play group or ensuring he/she is relaxed at night, to taking time when grooming your nervous pup or helping your cat learn to enjoy a bath, your pet is our top priority. Your dogs and cats are more than just numbers. They’re members of our family.
Impawsible Pups is changing things up a little. We recognize that the job of a kennel tech is not always easy. It's physically demanding and can be exhausting. There's a lot of cleaning, a lot of moving, and dogs and cats don't always behave exactly how we want. We've noticed that so many of our staff work hard, leave exhausted, and yet are still living with their parents or working a second job to make ends meet. This isn't great for them, and it's not great for us either. Stressed and tired staff isn't good for anyone! So, here's our proposal:
- Pay is salaried with a payrate based on $17.82/hr after initial training period.
- 3 days on / 3 days off
- Paid time off.
- Childcare provided if needed (after an evaluation period)
- Free daycare / boarding for your pup(s). Must be up to date on vaccinations
- Continued education in dog / animal care
What we'd require from you:
- Work a full day. This means a full 13 hours plus an hour for lunch and an hour and a half for dinner (6am-9:30pm)
- As mentioned before, this is a physically demanding job. It's long days on your feet, and lots of moving around.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lb
- A drive to work. Taking care of dogs means there's ALWAYS something to do. And there's A LOT of cleaning.
- Excellent customer service. Our clients are like our family, and we want them to feel comfortable here.
