Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, pipes, and systems in accordance with local codes and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Perform routine inspections on plumbing systems to identify issues or potential problems.
- Assemble and install valves, fittings, appliances, and fixtures using hand tools.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and HVAC technicians to complete projects efficiently.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance person industries.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to plumbing tasks.
- Knowledge of construction plumbing techniques and local building codes.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Commercial driving experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
