Impekkable is an award-winning healthcare consulting and hospital management firm seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Tomah, WI.
We have two available positions: full-time with benefits and part-time with benefits.
Full-time Opportunity
- 72 hours in a 2-week pay period
- Monday – Friday; 8 hour shifts working between the hours of 6am and 3:30pm
- Monday – Thursday weeknight on call rotation (approximately 1 per week)
- Occasional weekend on call and Holiday on call rotation
Part-time Opportunity
- 64 hours in a 2-week pay period
- Monday – Friday; 8 hour shifts working between the hours of 6am and 3:30pm
- Monday – Thursday weeknight on call rotation (approximately 1 per week)
- Weekend on call (approximately 1 in every 5th when fully staffed) and Holiday on call rotation
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection.
Assist the surgical team as the sterile member who passes instruments, sutures and sponges during surgery.
- Set up the operating room before an operation and organize sterile tables with surgical instruments and equipment
- Prepare gastroenterology room for procedure
- Check, audit, and operate equipment such as lights, suction machines, electrosurgical units, diagnostic equipment, orthopedic, and endoscopy equipment
- Perform decontamination, sterilization, and repackaging of supplies used throughout the hospital
- Clean and restock the operating room and gastroenterology room
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program with eligibility to obtain certification is required.
Sterile processing technician certification within one year of hire required.
Current certification or eligibility to become BLS certified.
