SUMMARY
The Product Line Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of our product lines, providing actionable insights to drive product rationalization, profitability, and market competitiveness. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, an understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate across functions to support strategic decision-making. Experience in the oil and gas chemicals sector is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to evaluate the performance of products within the portfolio.
? Product Rationalization: Identify underperforming products and provide recommendations for discontinuation, modification, or investment based on profitability, market demand, and strategic fit.
? Cost Analysis: Analyze the cost structure of each product, including production, distribution, and marketing costs, to assess profitability and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
? Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis to understand market positioning, identify trends, and provide insights into potential product gaps or opportunities.
? Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on product performance, market trends, and rationalization strategies for senior management.
? Collaboration: Work closely with the product management, marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure that product rationalization efforts are aligned with overall business goals.
? Forecasting: Assist in forecasting product demand and performance to support inventory management and production planning.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or science related field of study.
? 3-5 years of experience in product analysis, data analysis, or a related role in within the oil and gas or chemicals industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
? Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
? Proficiency in business intelligence data analysis tools such as Power BI.
? Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
? Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with various teams.
? Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products.
