SUMMARY
The Regional VP, Commercial will lead the commercial strategy and execution for a defined region, driving revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing sales team, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of oilfield chemical applications, a strong commercial acumen, and a track record of delivering results in a competitive market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
- Identify growth opportunities and expand market share by developing new business and strengthening existing relationships.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to drive commercial strategy.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to deliver innovative chemical solutions.
Sales & Account Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
- Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, customer retention, and new account acquisition.
- Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders.
- Negotiate and oversee major contracts, pricing structures, and service agreements.
Financial & Operational Performance
- Responsibility for the regional P&L, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
- Monitor commercial performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve financial goals.
- Ensure pricing discipline and margin optimization while maintaining competitive positioning.
- Work closely with supply chain, operations, and technical teams to ensure service excellence.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities for team members.
- Champion company culture, values, and safety standards.
- 10 years of commercial leadership experience in oilfield chemicals or related industries.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales teams and P&L responsibility.
- Deep understanding of oilfield chemical applications, production chemistry, and industry dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and pricing strategies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a senior commercial leadership role with direct responsibility for regional or national sales strategies.
- Strong network and established relationships within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in contract negotiation and management of long-term service agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to implement new commercial strategies and drive cultural change within a sales organization.
