SUMMARY:
The Treater truck driver has primary responsibility for providing chemical treatment of oil wells and identifying issues that may arise while on site. The position is responsible for safe operation and working within the HSE parameters.
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform chemical treatments of oil wells according to schedule provided
- Troubleshoot issues on all oilfield wells assigned
- Possess an awareness and ability to recognize issues with oil wells and ability to communicate them to customer and immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough manner
- Interact with customer and other field personnel to answer questions and resolve issues when needed
- May be asked to monitor, maintain or troubleshoot field equipment to support chemical treatment programs
- Maintain and submit paperwork and logs to support chemical treatments and deliveries
- May troubleshoot or perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of pumps on trucks/trailers after daily use
- Maintain company property (equipment, tools, phones, etc.)
- Maintain truck, trailer, and cargo in compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform and maintains daily DOT regulatory requirements associated with CDL (pre/post trips, driving logs)
- Obtain and maintain accurate shipping papers and placards
- Required to wear appropriate PPE/safety gear in accordance with company policy
- Inspect storage tanks and containments for regulatory compliance
- Adheres to company safety policies and guidelines
- Ability to use phone app-based system to create shipping papers, make deliveries and communicate all customer location visits
- Operate in accordance with DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with homeland security requirements and guidelines
- Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment
- Other duties may be assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class B CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and airbrakes endorsements (Class A CDL preferred)
- Acceptable driving record for a minimum of 3 years
DOT REQUIREMENTS:
- • DOT Driver Type: Operates Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 lbs.
• Valid Class A CDL:
o Minimum of 2 years of verified commercial driving experience required.
o Valid Medical Certificate (Form 5876): Must maintain a current, valid medical certificate.
• Clear Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) Report:
o All accidents must be reported.
• Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR):
o No more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years.
o No DWI/DUI offenses within the past 7 years.
o Must show a valid Class A CDL.
• Clearinghouse Query:
o Must show as "Driver Not Prohibited."
o No active Substance Abuse Program (SAP) or Return to Duty listings.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills
- Previous oil and gas well experience
- 0-2 years in oil and gas operation preferred
- 0-1 year in chemical treatment of oil and gas wells preferred
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings..
