Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for overall leadership of their branch including quality customer service provided by staff including timely and thorough responses to service and pricing requests as well as resolution of customer related issues. This individual will support the branch with operations management, oversight and administrative responsibilities.
Essentialjob Functions
- Responsible for the branch's overall success including Profit and Loss statement, Key Performance Indicators and contributing to the formulation and administration of company policies, budgets and development of long-term strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Lead the Branch by coaching and mentoring staff to drive overall corporate goals, outstanding customer service and grow the team professionally.
- Ensure compliant practices for staff with all governmental agencies as applicable including but not limited to Customs, BIS, TSA, USDA, FDA, USFWS and DOT.
- Manage timely completion of estimates/rate requests by staff and relevant pricing issues.
- Ensure timely servicing of export/import files including logging, file setup, communications, rating and billing by staff.
- Ensure employees have the necessary tools/resources to achieve assigned tasks in a quality/efficient manner.
- Interview, assist in hiring, training, merit recognition and performance management of team
- Develop and maintain quality vendor and customer relationships.
- Oversee all local accounting operations including but not limited to checks, daily statement payments, accounts payable invoice coding and interface with corporate accounting department as necessary.
- Monitor and drive the development and growth of the commercial business program.
- Continuously search for ways to improve operational processes, define structure, and increase productivity.
- Responsible for maintaining and organic growth of the customer relationship, frequently interacts with customers to ensure satisfaction of customer requirements and requests.
- Collaborate and partner with company leaders, teams and individuals to help in order to support the business
- Completes other duties and tasks as assigned.
- 7 years of international, logistics experience including import and export operations
- 5 years managing a team
- Competent in Excel and Microsoft Suite.
- Showcase exceptional leadership skills to encourage and guide team.
- Excellent communication skill and relating with both team members and customers.
- Proficient in CargoWise operating system
- Experience with CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) operations, preferred.
Physical Requirements
- The position is in an indoor, office environment, requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors verbally and in writing, sit for periods of time, operate typical office equipment which requires seeing and the use of a keyboard.
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
