We are a dynamic recruiting agency transitioning into a RPO model and offering our clients full-service retainer support over the more traditional transactional placement fee services. We are introducing providing external HR support to an array of clients—from innovative startups to mission-driven nonprofits. Our goal is to help organizations build robust HR strategies, streamline recruitment, and maintain compliance with employment laws. As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced HR Generalist Contractor to join our team on a part-time, remote basis.
Role Overview
As our HR Generalist Contractor, you will serve as a trusted HR consultant for our clients, offering strategic guidance and hands-on support in areas ranging from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and HR administration. This role is ideal for someone with a proven HR background who excels in a remote work environment and is passionate about making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
HR Consultation & Strategy:
- Advise client leadership on HR best practices, policy development, and compliance.
- Design tailored HR solutions to meet each client's unique needs.
Recruitment & Onboarding Support:
- Collaborate with internal recruiting teams to refine job descriptions, screen candidates, and streamline interview processes.
- Develop and manage onboarding programs, including orientation materials and checklists.
HR Administration & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records using HRIS platforms.
- Assist in updating and implementing HR policies in line with local, state, and federal regulations.
Employee Relations & Performance Management:
- Support the development and execution of performance management processes.
- Advise on handling employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Project Management & Reporting:
- Prepare regular HR reports and analytics (e.g., turnover, hiring metrics).
- Manage special projects such as HR audits, policy revisions, and training program development.
Remote Collaboration:
- Utilize tools such as Zoom, Slack, and email for effective communication and collaboration with clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist, with a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and remote collaboration tools.
- Experience working with startups, nonprofits, or similarly dynamic organizations is highly desirable.
Contract Details
- Term: Initial contract of 6 months with the possibility of extension based on performance.
- Compensation: $22-$28/hour DOE
- Work Environment: 100% remote, with flexible scheduling to accommodate client needs.
