Rigger

Imperatore Corporation is looking to add qualified and dependable Riggers to our Team. We are seeking ambitious mechanically inclined individuals to join our well rounded and successful Rigging Division.

The successful candidate will have proficiency and experience in the following areas:

• Class A/B CDL Driving Experience – (Minimum 1 year)
• OSHA Qualified Rigger/Signalperson
• Operating forklifts, aerial lifts, construction equipment.
• Using various hand tools/power tools.
• Willingness to learn, take instruction and work in a Team Environment
• Mechanic Experience a plus
• Welding Experience a plus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, to ensure safety of workers and materials
• Signal Cranes and Other Equipment while hoisting / moving loads.
• Understand and embrace a Safety Conscious work environment.
• Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools
• Select appropriate gear (e.g. slings, shackles, dolly’s, etc.) according to the load weights, sizes, and methods of Rigging and Moving.
• Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces
• Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.
• Manipulate rigging lines, hoists and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment
• Dismantle, Inspect, and store rigging equipment after use
• Experience reading Prints/Drawings.
• Commitment to Customer Service and Relationships.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check upon offer
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Physical requirements – bend lift, carry objects weighing up to 70lbs.
• Strong plus if you possess a CDL Class A/B license, OSHA 10 , Welding Certification, Forklift license, Aerial lift license

Schedule: Monday – Friday and Willingness to work Overtime when required.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Rigging or Related Field: 2 years Minimum (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License and OSHA 10 Certification (Preferred)
