Job Description
We are a non-profit community clinic that has been serving Imperial Beach since 1971. Our mission is to provide high-quality medical care to all members of our community, regardless of their ability to pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of patient care, including managing patient flow and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs, height, and weight in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Supporting healthcare providers by performing diagnostic tests as per protocol or provider requests.
- Interpreting and documenting PPD skin test results in the EHR.
Staff Management
- Create and evaluate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient clinic operations.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to Medical Assistants (MAs) to optimize workflow and patient care.
- Provide training and onboarding for new hires to support clinic standards and protocols.
Quality and Growth
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and Quality Care activities.
- Attend staff meetings and required in-service trainings to support professional development.
- Ensure flexibility to work at other clinic sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Foster professional relationships with coworkers, patients, and the community.
- Show respect and courtesy to all individuals served by the clinic.
- Proficiency in handling confidential patient health information.
- Familiarity with primary care outpatient clinic procedures.
- Knowledge of Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) standards and protocols.
