Job Responsibilities:
- Daily cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common areas.
- Working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper chemical use, equipment handling, and labor saving products.
- Adheres to safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.
- Participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives to improve patient experience and cleanliness metrics.
- Maintains cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Removes waste and transports it to the appropriate disposal area.
- Follows infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, and PPE donning and doffing.
- Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA).

Requirements:
- Healthcare support services and/or environmental services, hospitality, or related field preferred.
- Effective use of computers and/or mobile devices for daily job performance activities.
