The Equipment Service Technician is employed for the purpose of providing training, maintenance, assessment, and installation of packaging and janitorial equipment to provide a one stop solution to complement sales of packaging and chemical supplies.

Responsibilities
You will :
- Provide technical advice to the sales department and customers regarding packaging and janitorial equipment usage and maintenance.
- Installation and setup of new packaging and janitorial equipment at customer location, including any necessary training on the use and maintenance of said equipment.
- Perform in-field maintenance and repair of packaging and janitorial equipment as needed or requested. May rarely require overnight stays to accommodate remote customers.
- Perform in-house repairs of packaging and janitorial equipment as needed or requested.
- Keep preventive maintenance schedules up-to-date.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls and repairs and forward them to management in a timely manner to be able to bill customers appropriately.
- Maintain and expand knowledge of packaging and janitorial equipment through attendance of company sponsored training or independent curiosity.
- Keep shop area clean and free from debris. Maintain a safe environment and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist, as needed, in sanitary and janitorial dispenser installation and / or repair.
- Repair warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, etc.) as needed.
- Provide general maintenance duties for office, warehouse, and grounds; painting, light landscaping, building repairs, etc.
Qualifications
You have :
- 5 years prior experience maintaining and servicing equipment, packaging and / or janitorial equipment experience preferred
- Must possess excellent written as well as verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines
- Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical functions
- Strong ability to solve problems and offer the appropriate solution
- Ability to bend and kneel for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
- High School degree, diploma, or GED from an accredited institution
- Specialized training in packaging and / or janitorial equipment repair, preferred
