What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wave Solder Operator position at Imperial Electronic Assembly, Inc.?
Local electronic contract manufacturer is in need of an experienced Wave Solder Operator. Candidate will control wave, selective and robotic solder equipment in order to solder electronic components onto printed circuit boards and may use conformal coating machine.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to read complicated electronic assembly drawings
- Able to identify electronic components
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 Workmanship Standards; IPC-A-610 certification a plus.
- Able to follow verbal directions
- Able to speak, read, write and understand English as it relates to performing job
- Ability to lift, carry or otherwise transport racks or boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. and lift, carry, push, drag or otherwise transport bins weighing up to 50 lbs. Moderate physical effort required.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum: One (1) year experience as a PCB Pre- and Post-Wave Assembler or related experience in an electronic contract manufacturing, electronic high tech or related industry.
- Preferred: Three to Five (3 to 5) years’ experience as a PCB Pre- and Post-Wave Assembler or related experience in an electronic contract manufacturing, electronic high tech or related industry.
- Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school preferred.
