Job Summary :
Provide the finest members and guest experience by greeting and acknowledging guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner. Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to patrons, oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.
Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared before the opening of the bar.
Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Make sure glassware is clean, stocked and re-stocked daily.
Responsible for properly handling transactions in POS system.
Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
Perform other duties as requested.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Extensive knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails.
Excellent interpersonal skills, impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness.
Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.
Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments.
Education and Experience :
Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training preferred.
At least one year of bartending experience required.
JONAS POS knowledge a plus.
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
Previous experience in a food service position is preferred.
Responsible vendor and Food Handler Certificates preferred.
Prioritize and organize work.
Physical Requirements :
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Stand and walk for the length of scheduled shift.
Reach with hands and arms, bend stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned through visual acuity.
Express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly.
Perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level and make fine discriminations in sound.
Withstand a moderate noise level.
