What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Systems Specialist I position at Imperial Irrigation District?
Under general supervision, plans and designs the district's technology infrastructure, installs, configures, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, tunes and operates information technology systems including infrastructure, systems administration, network administration, desktop administration, help desk and print services, systems security, software and systems engineering and project management. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree with a major in computer information systems, computer science, computer electrical or electronic or engineering or related degree and two years of experience in two or more information technology systems directly related to infrastructure, system administration, network administration, systems security, software and systems engineering or project management.
Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required in two or more information technology systems directly related to infrastructure, systems administration, network administration, systems security, software and systems engineering or project management.
Specific Skills/Requirements
VMWare virtualization experience preferred.
