Job Overview:

As our Assistant Credit Manager, you'll be the backbone of our credit operations, working closely with the Corporate Credit Manager to manage our credit portfolio. You'll leverage your analytical skills and interpersonal abilities to assess credit risk, manage customer accounts, and ensure smooth financial transactions. If you're passionate about problem-solving and excel at building rapport, you'll find this role both challenging and fulfilling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Risk Assessment: Analyze credit reports and payment histories to determine customer creditworthiness, ensuring we partner with reliable clients.
  • Customer Accounts Management: Proactively contact customers to secure timely payments, resolve disputes, and negotiate payment plans for overdue accounts. Be a trusted advisor and problem-solver for our valued clients.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of customer files, legal documents, and call logs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Partner with sales, customer service, and operations teams to streamline credit processes and resolve customer issues effectively. Your teamwork will be vital to our success.
  • Compliance: Uphold company credit policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements, ensuring our credit activities are always conducted with integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2 years of experience in credit management, accounting, or finance, ideally within a distribution or manufacturing setting.
  • Solid understanding of credit assessment, financial analysis, and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a knack for building positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with Prophet21 or Avalara is a plus!
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Pay: $19.00 - $26.50 per hour
