What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Break Operator position at Imperial Systems?
This position is responsible for safe loading, operation, unloading, and proper tagging of product being bent on the press brake.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interpreting engineering drawings and bending parts accordingly
- Set-up and operation of the brake press, including die selection/changes
- Properly tagging completed work with required information.
- Follow all SOP’s and JSA’s
- Operation of forklifts and hoists
- Checking quality of work to drawings/specification and part quantity
- Other tasks as instructed by Supervision
Qualifications:
- Education: High school or GED, Vo-Tech/Trade School (preferred)
- Experience: 1-2 Years industrial/manufacturing environment
- Specific Skills: Forklift (preferred)
- Physical Abilities: Standing/Bending full shift, lifting up to 50lbs, exposure to loud noises may require hearing protection, Exposure to chemicals and fumes may require use of respirator, various sheet metal products may require specific PPE protection, communication with others, some repetitive motion
