Description:
To support the overall mission of the organization through organizing totes for customer orders on a pallet in an order that helps the truck driver quickly pull the correct totes at each stop, stacking and moving full totes and boxes, reading and following a pallet summary report, transporting full pallets into different locations around the warehouse, cleaning the area during and at the end of the shift, communicating corrections and issues to the supervisor and assisting other staff with any needed tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Palletize
- Locate totes in specified locations around the warehouse and transport them to the build area using a pallet jack.
- Break down the pallets from each area.
- Organize the products onto the pallets designated by the labels on boxes and totes.
- Locate and stack cigarettes & bulk items that are not in totes.
- Wrap and transport pallets to the correct area using a pallet jack in a safe and prompt manner.
- Place labels on wrapped pallets for easy identification by loaders

Read Pallet Summaries
- Identify the pallets you are assigned on the build sheet.
- Match number of cigarettes for each pallet against data shown on pallet summary

Print Pallet Labels
- Use AS400 Warehouse Management System to print pallet labels

General Warehouse Skills
- Sweep the area at the end of the day.
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend, lift, and carry boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to understand simple math, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to understand good memory patterns by quickly and easily finding needed totes.
- Must have the ability to properly communicate with co-workers, supervisors and drivers of any issues, concerns or problems.
- All warehouse task descriptions have a cross-functional relationship. Every employee is responsible for the safe operation and housekeeping in the warehouse.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands of this job include medium-heavy physical activity performing strenuous activities of an warehouse nature that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear.
The employee must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a warehouse environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions. The employee must occasionally work in wet humid conditions and with the risk of electrical shock.
The noise level of the work environment is usually loud.
