LIFT OPERATOR/STOCKER

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for operating appropriate Forklift/Reach-lift (powered industrial truck) material movement, including but not limited to, receiving, staging, put away, replenishment of products, and other material moves; also responsible for manually moving product as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties, which are necessary to carry out the function of the Lift Operator/Put AWAY, may be assigned and are incorporated by reference into this job description.

• Responsible for movement of all materials in the warehouse through operation of assigned equipment;

• Responsible for using Radio Frequency terminal to record the movement of materials for inventory control purposes in accordance with the Radio Frequency Program guidelines for Put-a-ways, Moves, replenishment, and operations;

• Responsible for routine maintenance on forklift equipment, i.e., changing lift batteries;

• Responsible for safe movement of product, safety of pedestrian employees and company/warehouse property;

• Monitor and correct shelves that have items out of order or place;

• Replace empty shelf area with correct merchandise from the back stock area;

• Monitor and correct issues of stock not being rotated;

• Place newly received merchandise in the proper location;

• Notify supervisor of any potential out-of-stock or out-of-date issues that may arise;

• Reports to work on time, as directed by the Warehouse Shift Supervisor, and completes all duties in a timely manner;

• Performs above listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information as needed effectively;

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands of this job include light physical activity performing light strenuous activities of an administrative, productive, and/or technical nature that must be met by the employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands or arms. The employee must occasionally walk and talk or hear. The employee must also be certified in forklift operations.

The employee must regularly lift 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a warehouse environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in wet humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in outdoor weather conditions. The employee must occasionally work in fumes and airborne particles with the risk of electrical shock. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.
