What are the responsibilities and job description for the LOADER-PALLETIZER position at Imperial Trading?
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for loading bulk items onto the conveyer and loads all merchandise, including refrigerated items, into the delivery vehicles. As a Loader Palletizer, you will use your attention to detail and physical strength to ensure that products are properly loaded and unloaded onto pallets. You will also use your communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.

Physical Demands
The physical demands of this job include light physical activity performing sometimes repetitive light strenuous activities that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to touch, handle or feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, talk, or hear, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift 50 pounds or more. The employee regularly lifts up to 25 to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The employee must keep the boxes pertaining to a customer order together. The employee must be able to do heavy manual work with constant movement, i.e. picking up boxes and totes off the conveyor and putting them into trucks. The employee must also work in the extreme heat generated by trucks.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in wet humid conditions and in outdoor weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.

- Responsible and authorized for operating a powered pallet jack to move pallets as needed;
- Responsible for loading and unloading product onto or from pallets and conveyors;
- Responsible for loading product and materials into vehicles and secures with load locks to prevent shifting or damage or damage in transit;
- Responsible for loading refrigerated/frozen items onto trucks in proper order and in proper compartment/container and secures the refrigerated products on trucks and turns on the refrigeration unit;
- Reports to work on time, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor for each shift, and completes duties in a timely manner;
- Inspect products for quality and ensure they are properly packaged;
- Maintain a clean and organized work area;
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines;
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors;
- Performs above listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information as needed effectively;
- Responsible for the palletizing/ merging of product from selection zones to maintain proper flow of product to be loaded;
- Counts and verifies all cases and cigarette carton counts;
- Communicates product flow problems.
