About the Position
The Speech Language Pathologist will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education/District Psychologist and the general supervision of the Superintendent. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to sit for prolonged periods, and work effectively with staff, parents, students, and community members.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' communication skills to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans to address students' speech and language deficits.
- Provide consultative services to teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social growth.
- Conduct assessments and screenings to determine students' eligibility for special education services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on students' progress and services provided.
Requirements:
- Clinical-Rehabilitative Services Credential.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- California Licensure preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License and evidence of insurability.
