About the job:
This position will be responsible for accounting operations and general administrative oversight. The position will be process oriented, and always looking for ways to improve efficiencies and streamline activities. Working closely with the Controller to lead the effort to design, implement, document and maintain an effective system of internal controls, policies and procedures. The ability to help guide a fast growing, rapidly changing business is critical.
Day-to-day activities include the following:
- A/P, A/R, cash disbursements, billing/invoicing, customer credit and collections,
- Fixed assets, general ledger.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and related analyses.
Required Qualifications :
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with privately-held, fast growing companies.
- Demonstrated self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Significant experience managing accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Proven record of strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Solid process improvement skills and able to leverage technology.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and enjoys working directly with clients, vendors and employees
- Strong work ethic including managing multiple projects at a time.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail is a must.
- Passion for “making things better” and thinking outside the box.
