Imperial is seeking an organized and motivated Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Intern or COOP student to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Bourbon, Missouri. This full-time, paid internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. The EHS Intern will support documentation, safety initiatives, chemical management, and compliance projects across all Imperial sites. This position reports directly to the Director of Safety & Compliance.
Salary: $17/hr
3x Week / Onsite at one of our 4 Locations

Location: Bourbon, Winona, Ellington or Park Hills - Missouri
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with documentation, file maintenance, and data entry across all six Imperial sites (audits, drills, licenses, training records, SOPs, etc.)
- Coordinate audit schedules and track safety event data
- Participate in and support safety committee meetings
- Maintain chemical inventory and SDS management, including labeling and sample collection
- Support wastewater management tasks, including sample collection, testing, and data input
- Assist with planning and execution of emergency drills and training under the Emergency Action Plan
- Contribute to various EHS and sustainability initiatives and projects
- Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite (Gmail, Forms, Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with multiple sites
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
