I’m working with a pharmaceutical company who are on the lookout for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Northbrook, IL.

Responsibilities:
· Manage the maintenance team and schedule routine and critical tasks.
· Handle maintenance for the manufacturing plant, focusing on equipment upkeep, installing new equipment, and working with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
· Keep manufacturing equipment safe, working, and looking good.
· Lead and support Total Preventative and Predictive Maintenance (TPM).
· Solve technical and operational issues and guide the team through challenges.
· Make sure everyone is trained in safety and follows all relevant rules and regulations.
· Keep track of and document all maintenance work, upgrades, and repairs.
· Set priorities and plan for equipment maintenance and repairs.
· Take care of the tools, equipment, and spare parts needed for preventative maintenance.
· Ensure all equipment gets inspected yearly and calibrated as per the manufacturer’s or regulatory standards.
· Supervise both direct and indirect team members.
· Make sure idle equipment is always ready to go when needed.
· Work with different teams inside and outside the company to ensure proper equipment maintenance.
· Troubleshoot, assist with, or handle maintenance and repair tasks.
· Monitor and track the maintenance team's work and progress.
· Keep detailed records on all equipment for future reference.
· Be available for flexible hours and respond to emergencies after hours
Required experience:
· HS Diploma required
· Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
· At least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
· Minimum of 3 years working with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting and repair required.
· At least 2 years of experience in an FDA-regulated environment required.
· 1 year of experience with basic machine tools and fixtures (like mills, lathes, and hand tools) is a bonus.
· 1 year of hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting is preferred.
· A good understanding of: Thorough understanding of ISO 13485 and cGMP procedures.
