Team Overview:
Our fast paced, highly collaborative IT team is seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who possesses a wide array of skills and have experience across multiple technology disciplines, including network, storage, server, disaster recovery, directory services, identity management, security, scripting for automation to deliver business value.
What you will do:
- Monitoring and maintaining our growing AWS and Linux production and development environments.
- Organize and execute our modern infrastructure strategy, solve difficult problems, help build technical acumen and knowledge transfer across the team, and ensure our infrastructure operations are secure, predictable, and scalable.
- Design, deploy, and manage servers, storage solutions, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Ensure data integrity and availability through regular testing.
- Actively mentor less experienced engineers and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.
- Solve complex puzzles and provide excellent customer service
- Execute project tasks that drive our growth strategy
- Advocate for best practices in maintaining system security and providing great customer service
- Embody our culture and values, including fostering an inclusive team culture
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Linux systems engineering or a similar role
- Proven experience with server virtualization, storage systems, and network infrastructure
- Expert skills in managing and maintaining Linux systems (RHEL and Ubuntu LTS)
- Expert skills in automation using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash,
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
It will be great if you have the following:
- Advanced Configuration Management using Ansible and Terraform to enforce standards
- Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment
- Certification as Red Hat Certified System Administrator or CompTIA Linux
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator (AZ-800, AZ-801), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Strong knowledge of Windows server operating systems, architecture, and domain administration (DNS, DHCP, NPS and CA)
- Previous experience in a regulated SOX environment
Compensation and Benefits:
The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj.
The typical base pay range for this role is $115,000- $190,000. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties, requirements and relevant experience and skills. Impinj reviews market wage data and uses the midpoint of the pay range as the starting point for offers. Impinj makes offers within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonuses and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
