What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant position at Implementing Ideas?
Purchasing Assistant - Responsibilities for this position include the following but are not limited to:
- Working with the purchasing manager to run the purchasing department
- Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities
- Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules, and maintaining purchase records
- Research various vendors for various parts and equipment
- Reviewing internal inventory and restocking items when running low
- Updating and maintaining pricing
Skills needed for the position include;
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms) & Quickbooks Online
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
