POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Business Analyst - Operations, you will play a vital role in our Business Systems team’s success. The Business Analyst will act as a primary contact for the organization for analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, training, implementation, and operational support for Microsoft Dynamics D365 modules and add-ons. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and IT business analysts to understand the requirements of requests, issues and enhancements.  This role can be hybrid (2-3 days per week in our  Durham, NC office).

Essential Job Functions:    

•    Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements
•    Decompose features into technical and/or business requirements and/or user stories
•    Break down complex requirements into independent tasks
•    Develop and analyze functional specifications
•    Contribute to task estimation and ability to set and meet deadlines
•    Execute test cases/scripts to assure all conditions of acceptance have been met
•    Actively participate in design and planning sessions and actively reflect upon successes, failures and lessons learned 
•    Track performance of implemented solutions and identify areas of further improvement, constantly seeking ways to optimize IT operations
•    Provide production support
•    Ensure IT policies and standards are being followed
•    Provide expertise and input in helping the team make right decisions on implementing business or technical requests
•    Review and provide feedback on requirements and functional specs to other analysts
•    Design efficient processes and solutions to meet business and technology needs
•    Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports
•    Coordinate and communicate with business partners on the status of projects and requests

Other Functions: 

•    The role entails minimal travel but could be to any of our listed worldwide locations.
Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
•    Two (2) years of experience in D365 support. 
•    Analytical mindset
•    Strong data analysis skills
•    Problem-solving aptitude
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Knowledge of various delivery models  
•    Contribute to process management and improvement (workflow design & diagramming)
•    Proficiency in technologies related to your area
•    Strong interpersonal skills including collaborating, conflict resolution and patience
•    Strong knowledge and understanding of business and technology needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence

Preferred Qualifications:    

• Consumer goods and/or distribution background preferred. 
• Residence in the Eastern or Central US time zones is preferred.

Education & Experience:
A bachelor's degree in a related field of study OR a combination of education & experience will be considered.

•    Observe/Identify: The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
•    Hearing: Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and vendors.
•    Operate: Write, type and use the telephone, copier, and computer systems.
•    Stationary position: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50- 75% of the time.
•    Mobility: Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings, etc.
•    Communicate: Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
•    Move/Transport: Ability to occasionally move boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. across office for various needs with or without accommodations
•    Exposed: Standard climate-controlled office setting 
•    Occasional exposure to open air, warehouse setting
