Summary
Resource will provide Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) support to physician providers and specialty ambulatory clinics. The Resource will address clinical support issues, deliver training, and assist providers with Epic workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance.
What You Will Do:
- Clinical Support
- Provide at-the-elbow and remote support to physician providers during go-live periods and after system stabilization.
- Address provider requests for assistance with Epic workflows across various clinical settings, including but not limited to:
- ICU
- Inpatient units
- Perioperative/peri-procedural areas
- Labor and Delivery
- Emergency Department
- Technical Support
- Guide clinicians on correct EMR workflows, including but not limited:
- Resolving deficiencies.
- In-Basket
- Chart Review
- Orders and order sets.
- Adding charges.
- Writing notes.
- Document recurring issues to facilitate the development of training materials.
- Function collaboratively with the Command Center/Service desk to:
- Log issues.
- Mitigate problems.
- Incorrect provider role assignments.
- Provide detailed descriptions of significant issues during reports.
- Guide clinicians on correct EMR workflows, including but not limited:
- Training and Education
- Provide targeted training to physicians.
- Revenue Optimization: best practices for billing and documentation.
- Ensure alignment of training efforts with organizational goals in collaboration with the revenue cycle team.
- Patient movement and related workflow problems.
- Specialty-specific workflows and needs.
- Conduct one-on-one or group training sessions.
- Develop and deliver educational materials, including:
- Quick-reference guides.
- Train providers on Dragon Medical One for voice-assisted documentation.
- Monitoring and Improvement
- Work with the revenue cycle team to:
- Monitor and evaluate progress post-training.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for ongoing improvement.

- Resolve provider EMR issues and workflows across assigned clinical settings.
- Provide remote phone support to address clinician questions and challenges.

- Develop materials for specialty-specific workflows and system use.
- Document common provider issues to inform ongoing training efforts.
- Training Sessions:
- Conduct tailored training for best practices in billing and documentation.
- Ensure providers are proficient with Epic workflows specific to the client's HealthLink build.
What You Bring:
- Epic Experience:
- At least five (5) years of Epic support experience.
- Familiarity with Epic modules such as CPOE, Ambulatory, OpTime, Anesthesia, Stork, and others.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with Nuance and Dragon Medical One.
- Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Specialized Knowledge: o
- In-depth understanding of Epic functionality and workflows.
- Ability to adapt to and train providers on specific workflows.
