Location : Santa Barbara, CA Office Monday-Friday 5-6 hours a day
Description :
The social media content creator will be responsible for producing and curating timely, creative, and accurate daily social media content, artwork, and other multimedia pieces to post on client social media accounts. Responsibilities include writing, creating, posting and monitoring high-quality social media content to publicize partnerships, health promotion and health education priorities, community outreach and engagement, public relations activities, special awards or recognitions, health-related and service-related awareness dates, special events, and industry-related topics. The social media content creator will also research and monitor social media content posted by State and Federal regulatory partners, other Medi-Cal (Medicaid) Managed Care Plans, political leaders – both local and leaders in healthcare policy, providers and community partners, and other relevant healthcare social media accounts to produce social media content that is pertinent, positions as a trusted and humble partner, and publicizes important health-related information to our communities and stakeholders.
What You Will Do :
- Create original social media content and graphics that adhere to branding and style guidelines.
- Write, review, edit, post and update engaging content across social media platforms.
- Support the implementation to ensure strategic plan priorities and objectives are met.
- Develop and execute social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Coordinate with various internal content contributors and stakeholders within the organization to secure monthly content.
- Route all content through the necessary internal approvals and translation processes in a timely manner.
- Ensure that social media content is thoroughly proof-read and error-free prior to posting.
- Collaborate with team members to create compelling narratives and engaging copy for various projects, including social media, marketing materials, internal communications, community communications, and digital content.
- Manage and execute a monthly social media planning timeline to ensure content is generated, secured, and approved in a timely manner that is achievable for all involved, including internal stakeholders.
- Ensure social media content is published daily, sometimes multiple times a day, and at the appropriate times across the various platforms.
- Monitor social media engagement (e.g., comments, likes, messages and shares). Develop reports as needed reflecting social media engagement and other important metrics.
- Identify messages, comments, and likes that require action, such as a response. Collaborate with the Strategic Engagement Director and appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure a suitable reply is provided promptly.
- Utilize various digital publishing platforms and software programs - such as, but not limited to, Meta, Canva, Adobe Suite - to create structured content and schedule for posting.
- Research and monitor social media content posted by State and Federal regulatory partners, other Medi-Cal (Medicaid) Managed Care Plans, political leaders – both local and leaders in healthcare policy, providers and community partners, and other relevant healthcare social media accounts to ensure client creates and / or shares relevant information.
- Maintain awareness of rising social media trends.
- Identify opportunities for social media growth and improvement and collaborate with internal stakeholders to advance social media efforts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to establish objectives of posts and campaigns, complete tasks, and identify and collaboratively solve any challenges that affect social media activities.
- Extend the reach of our social media posts and increase following.
- Research other social media platforms, such as TikTok, which may be of interest of the client. Launch new accounts on those platforms and develop content as required.
- Support the Strategic Engagement Department with non-social media-related duties as needed.
- Edit and proofread drafts for various projects, including non-social media projects, to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Adapt writing style and tone to suit different audiences and platforms, including social media, newsletters, and website content.
- Provide support in managing writing deadlines and maintaining an organized workflow for all writing-related tasks.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss writing priorities and contribute to creative discussions and feedback sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
