Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leasing and property management, particularly within PHA, SEC 8, and LIHTC communities. This position requires a dedicated individual who can manage leasing activities, ensure compliance with HUD regulations, and provide exceptional service to prospective and current residents.
Responsibilities
The Leasing Agent is property is responsible for
Marketing available units
Qualifying potential tenants based on income and eligibility requirements
Conducting property tours
Processing applications, and managing lease agreements while adhering to strict LIHTC compliance guidelines
Ensure compliance with all HUD regulations and community policies.
Assisting to ensure that all resident certifications and re-certifications are completed accurately and on time
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and current residents, maintaining positive tenant relations
Submit workorders
Adhering to all fair housing practices
Ability to use computer, telephone,
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 plus years of experience in leasing or property management.
Knowledge of PHA, SEC 8, and LIHTC programs and HUD regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
