What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief of Staff position at Improvision Consulting?
Improvision Consulting is looking for an organized self-starter to work directly with the CEO / founder of a fun and fast-growing leadership consultancy. This role is part or full time (20 hours/wk) and hybrid location (3-4 days from home, 1-2 days in office in Memorial City.) College students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Tasks & Objectives:
- Manage B2B social media & direct marketing content and deployment calendar (Zopto, LinkedIn)
- Develop and/or edit marketing and/or client collateral in our office’s preferred technologies (Google Slides, Powerpoint, Word/Docs, Canva)
- Identify & manage opportunities for speaking engagements (keynote, panel discussions, webinars, podcasts, interviews, etc.)
- Capture processes and organize materials for ImproVision onboarding
- Oversee invoicing and accounting (Zoho Books, Expensify)
- Proactively identify, standardize, document, and deploy critical ImproVision operational processes.
- Create training approach and materials for any such identified operational processes.
Required Skills:
- PPT/Google Slide/Canva Wiz with an eye for clean design
- Excellent visual, verbal, and written communicator
- Basic Excel
- Proactive problem solver who raises their hand to ask questions, communicates and/or removes roadblocks, and doesn’t get stuck in the weeds
- Excellent interpersonal skills, enjoys collaborating & problem solving in groups
- Nice to haves: Basic expense accounting knowledge; experience and/or interest in consulting, training, coaching, improvisation, and/or storytelling; passion for leadership and self development; sense of humor

- Process-oriented; able to break down company goals into prioritized projects and tasks
- Proactive problem solver who can identify and execute process improvements
- Organized and adaptive project coordinator who can work across multiple moving parts to define project plans and manage them to completion, escalating concerns, adapting to changes, and solving problems as needed
- Strong writer with an eye for design who can support the research, design, and development of learning and marketing materials (using tools like Microsoft and Google products)
- Fast learner who can synthesize our business information to create clear project materials for clients, consultants, and investors. This includes assisting in pitch decks, proposals, quarterly reviews, and project onboarding materials.
- Eye for detail and ear for “company voice” who can write and/or proofread and provide feedback on content marketing materials, like blogs, newsletters, videos
