Role: Project Manager
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid - Onsite 2-3 days per week)
Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred)
Summary:
The Project Manager will oversee a .NET and SharePoint-based knowledge management application, which plays a crucial role in supporting document workflows and communications within the Department of State’s Executive Secretariat. This role requires outstanding customer engagement skills, a keen awareness of organizational dynamics, and the ability to manage key tasks and interactions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the management and operation of a knowledge management application, ensuring efficient document workflows and seamless user experiences.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing briefings and updates to executives within the Department of State.
- Deliver high-quality customer service with a personalized approach, ensuring that customer needs are met efficiently.
- Foster communication and collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders, including the Executive Secretariat and other related offices.
- Drive project goals and timelines while maintaining adaptability to accommodate shifting priorities and demands.
- Facilitate positive interoffice interactions and productive relationships across diverse teams.
- Provide technical support and escalate critical issues as necessary to maintain system performance.
- Guide ongoing improvements to enhance results and align with customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience managing high-visibility projects with complex stakeholder needs, particularly within federal agencies or government settings.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and resolve challenging situations effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging senior executives and conveying complex information clearly.
- Proven experience in IT project management, with expertise in .NET and SharePoint applications being highly desirable.
- Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic work environment and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Experience with all phases of project lifecycle management, from initiation to completion.
- Familiarity with Department of State operations or equivalent federal settings is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work model, requiring onsite engagement in Washington, DC, 2-3 days per week, with remote work flexibility for the remaining days.
- Occasional work during government closures or special events may be necessary.
