Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated HR Summer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience supporting a dynamic Human Resources department. Key Responsibilities:
- Immerse Yourself in Company Culture: Embrace and promote our values while working alongside the HR team in supporting key initiatives.
- HR Systems & Data Management: Gain exposure to core HR systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS, LMS). Assist with data entry, personnel file updates, and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Talent Acquisition Support:
- Coordinate interview schedules and candidate communications.
- Assist with onboarding tasks including sending welcome materials and new hire forms.
- Compliance & Recordkeeping:
- Support efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., OFCCP tracking).
- Assist with audits and records retention activities.
- Training & Events Coordination: Help plan logistics and materials for HR trainings, meetings, and team events.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in problem-solving activities and offer ideas that enhance team effectiveness and HR services.
- General Administrative Support: Provide assistance with day-to-day tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with MS SharePoint, ADP systems is a plus.
- Professional demeanor and a strong interest in growing a career in HR.
Preferred Availability: Full-time for the duration of the summer internship (typically 8–12 weeks - flexible on work schedule/start/end dates).
Location: Reston, HQ, onsite, 5 days a week, 8:30-4:30pm (NOT flexible - onsite only)
