Clearance : Top Secret with SCI Required
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated expert-level Database Administrator (DBA) to support a medium-scale IT modernization project within a secure federal environment . This role will be responsible for database implementation, administration, security, and optimization for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL database administration, database design, and secure system operations while ensuring 24 / 7 system availability.
Key Responsibilities
Database Implementation & Administration
Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases to support redundant 24 / 7 IT systems .
Create database server images with support for multiple server generations.
Oversee operational database creation, maintenance, and optimization .
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implementation plans for database systems.
Security & Compliance
Operate within a secure environment , ensuring security controls are properly deployed on Windows operating systems.
Implement security best practices for database administration and access control.
Ensure compliance with federal security policies related to database management.
Development & Integration
Support database development and design for mobile applications, utilizing databases such as SQLite, RealmDB, ORMLite, LevelDB, and MongoDB .
Develop and maintain APIs for database integration with applications.
Work with .NET and PowerShell for database automation and scripting.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving for database-related issues.
Analyze IT issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement logical solutions to improve database performance and stability.
